Pick a market. See the route.
Choose a market for its usual entry route: the right entity, who approves your product, how goods clear customs and what to watch for. The first three steps happen everywhere; import, distribution and sales follow when you are ready.
Market entry and corporate services, under one roof.
Most companies stitch together a law firm, an accountant, a freight forwarder and a sales agency. We run all of it through our own team and network of distributors, partners and facilities.

Incentives to explore
Indicative only. Standard figures use headline corporate income tax rules checked in October 2026 and mid-market exchange rates from 11 October 2026. Incentive figures apply the scheme's rate to all profit; real eligibility depends on the activity, investment size, location and approval. Groups with consolidated revenue of EUR 750 million or more may owe top-up tax to reach 15% in most of these markets.

Withholding tax on payments abroad
| Market | Rate | Tax withheld |
|---|
VAT shows what you would charge customers at the standard rate once registered. Withholding rates are domestic rates on payments to a foreign company with no local presence, before any tax treaty relief. Rates checked in October 2026.

Mandatory employer contributions
| Market | Employer / month | Employee / month | Annual employer cost |
|---|
Statutory social security and provident fund contributions only, per employee at the salary entered. Annual employer cost covers salary plus employer contributions for all employees. Excludes bonuses, optional insurance, work-injury rates that vary by industry, foreign worker levies and severance or gratuity accruals. China uses Shanghai rates.
Employee personal income tax (estimate)
| Market | Income tax / month | Effective rate | Take-home / month |
|---|
Estimate for a single, tax-resident employee with no dependants and salary as the only income, on 2026 rates. Applies each market's standard personal allowance and deductible employee contributions; ignores bonuses, benefits in kind and optional reliefs. Take-home is gross salary less employee contributions and income tax. Korea includes 10% local income tax; Hong Kong uses 2026/27 allowances; Vietnam uses the new five-band schedule. Non-residents can be taxed at flat rates instead, such as 20% in Vietnam, Indonesia and Cambodia, 30% in Malaysia and at least 15% in Singapore.

ListenMarket entry questions we hear first.
Tell us briefly what you need and we will reply within two business days.
Send an enquiryWhat does Golden Eye Corp do?
We take companies from first assessment to first sale in a new Asian market. One team covers market entry consulting, company incorporation and compliance, investment incentives such as Thailand's BOI, tax planning, accounting and audit coordination, corporate restructuring, visas and work permits, import and export, warehousing and distribution, and outsourced sales and marketing. Our offices are in Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and we serve eight more markets with trusted local execution teams.
Which markets do you cover?
We have our own offices in Singapore (headquarters), Thailand and Vietnam. We also run projects in Malaysia (including Labuan and Johor), Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Hong Kong, China (Guangxi and Shanghai), South Korea and Dubai, coordinated from Singapore with trusted local teams. Each market has a free guide on the site covering growth sectors, incentives, company structures, restricted activities and costs.
Do I need to use every service?
No. Some clients use us end to end, from market assessment to their first distributor. Others take one service, such as incorporating a company, applying for BOI promotion, moving payroll or restructuring a group. We scope the work around what you already have in place, so you only pay for what you need.
How do we get started?
Send us a short enquiry with your product or service, target markets and timeline. We reply within two business days and set up a discovery call with the right person: Gordon for market entry and go-to-market, Koonthida for Thai legal and corporate matters, and Jitpanu for tax and restructuring. After the call we send a written plan with the structure, steps, timeline and fees.
Who will we work with?
You work directly with the founders and office leads, not a rotating account team. Gordon Ho, our founder, leads market entry and go-to-market across the region. Koonthida Kruasopon, a Thai-licensed attorney, leads the Thailand office and its corporate, contract and M&A work. Jitpanu Somprasong, a registered Thai lawyer and former Deloitte international tax manager, leads tax structuring and Pillar Two work.

Can a foreign company own 100% of a business in Thailand?
Yes. Manufacturing and most export activities are already open to full foreign ownership. For activities on the Foreign Business Act's restricted lists, such as many services, retail and trading, the main routes are a company promoted by the Board of Investment (BOI), which also brings tax and non-tax incentives; a Thai company that obtains a Foreign Business Licence (FBL); or a branch or representative office of your overseas company. The right route depends on your activity, capital and timeline.
Market guide: ThailandProfile: Koonthida KruasoponSend an enquiry
Can you help us apply for BOI promotion in Thailand?
Yes. Our Thailand team checks whether your activity is on the BOI's promoted list, models the tax holiday and other incentives, prepares and files the application, and sets up the company. After approval, we keep you within the promotion conditions, including investment, employment and reporting requirements. Projects in the Eastern Economic Corridor, industrial estates and the 20 decentralisation provinces can receive extra benefits.
How long does company registration take in Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam?
A Singapore private limited company can usually be registered with ACRA in one to three days once documents are ready, although opening the bank account takes longer. A Thai limited company takes about a month, longer if it needs BOI promotion or a Foreign Business Licence. In Vietnam, a foreign-owned company first needs an investment registration certificate and then an enterprise registration certificate, so allow one to two months. We confirm the timeline for your activity at the start.

Should our regional headquarters be in Singapore?
Singapore is often the right base for a regional holding, trading or treasury company. A private limited company can be 100% foreign-owned, needs one locally resident director and a company secretary, and pays 17% corporate tax, with a 75% exemption on the first SGD 100,000 of income for qualifying new companies in their first three years. EDB incentives and the Refundable Investment Credit are available for qualifying high-value activities. We compare it with Hong Kong, Labuan and Dubai for your group.

How does a foreign company set up in Vietnam?
Most foreign investors use a limited liability company, which can be up to 100% foreign-owned in most sectors, subject to market-access conditions. You first obtain an investment registration certificate, then an enterprise registration certificate, and must contribute the charter capital within 90 days. Sectors such as advertising and some logistics and telecoms services have ownership caps and need a joint venture. Our Ho Chi Minh City office handles the licensing, bank account and tax registration.
What are the options for entering Malaysia?
A Sdn. Bhd. company can be up to 100% foreign-owned in manufacturing and many services and takes about two to four weeks to register; distribution and retail need a wholesale, retail and trade licence and usually higher capital. A Labuan company suits holding, trading and leasing activities with local substance and pays 3% tax on net profit. Companies in advanced industries in the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone can pay 5% corporate tax for up to 15 years.
Can a foreign company own 100% of a business in Indonesia?
Often, yes. A foreign-owned company (PT PMA) can be fully foreign-owned in most business lines under the Positive Investment List, but some activities are capped or reserved for small businesses. A PT PMA needs at least IDR 10 billion of planned investment and IDR 2.5 billion of paid-up capital per business line (KBLI). Licences are issued through the risk-based OSS system, and setup usually takes one to two months.
What are the foreign ownership rules in the Philippines?
Companies serving the domestic market can be 100% foreign-owned outside the Negative List with paid-up capital of USD 200,000, or USD 100,000 if they use advanced technology or employ at least 15 Filipinos. Foreign retailers need paid-up capital of at least PHP 25 million, and land ownership is limited to Filipinos and companies at least 60% Filipino-owned. Export and registered projects can receive an income tax holiday followed by a 5% special rate on gross income.
What incentives are available in Cambodia?
A private limited company can be up to 100% foreign-owned in most sectors. Registering it with the Council for the Development of Cambodia as a Qualified Investment Project (QIP) can bring a corporate tax exemption of three to nine years, or enhanced deductions of up to 200% on qualifying spending, plus duty exemptions on equipment. Land is reserved for Cambodians, so foreign companies use long-term leases, often in special economic zones.
Why set up in Hong Kong?
A Hong Kong company can be registered online in about one to five days and be 100% foreign-owned. Profits tax is 8.25% on the first HKD 2 million and 16.5% above that, on a territorial basis, so offshore profits are generally not taxed, and there is no VAT and no withholding tax on dividends or interest. It is a common base for trade and capital flows into Greater China. Opening the bank account usually takes longer than incorporation, and we prepare the documents banks ask for.
How do we enter China, and do you cover Guangxi and Shanghai?
Yes. Outside the negative list, a wholly foreign-owned enterprise (WFOE) is the usual route and takes about two to three months; sectors with ownership limits need a joint venture, and cross-border e-commerce lets you test demand without a local entity. Encouraged companies in Guangxi can pay 15% corporate tax under the Western Region policy, and qualifying companies in key industries in Shanghai's Lingang area pay 15% for five years. Registered capital must be paid within five years.
What is involved in setting up in South Korea?
You first file a foreign direct investment report through a bank or KOTRA, then register a stock company or limited company, which usually takes three to six weeks. Investors in high-tech, materials and components and regional headquarters can apply for cash grants, and Free Economic Zones offer land-lease discounts and duty exemptions. Investing at least KRW 100 million qualifies for a D-8 investor visa. Food, cosmetics and medical devices need MFDS registration before import.
Should we set up on the Dubai mainland or in a free zone?
It depends on your customers. A mainland LLC can be 100% foreign-owned for most activities and trade anywhere in the UAE. A free zone company, for example in DMCC or JAFZA, can pay 0% on qualifying income but cannot sell directly onshore without a distributor or mainland licence. Corporate tax is 9% on profit above AED 375,000, there is no personal income tax, and Golden Visas of up to 10 years are available to investors and skilled professionals.
Do you help with corporate restructuring and regional tax planning?
Yes. We set up regional holding companies, convert branches and representative offices into subsidiaries, consolidate entities, handle share transfers and close companies. Before you decide, we model the tax effect across markets, including withholding taxes, treaty relief and incentives. Our tax planning tool gives a first comparison of corporate tax, VAT and employment costs.
Does the global minimum tax (Pillar Two) affect our group?
It affects groups with consolidated revenue of EUR 750 million or more. Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, South Korea and the UAE now apply a 15% minimum through domestic top-up taxes, which reduces the value of tax holidays for large groups. Smaller groups are not affected and can still use incentives such as BOI promotion in full. Jitpanu, who helped translate the OECD Pillar Two Model Rules, leads our compliance and planning work.
Can you estimate employment costs and personal income tax?
Yes. Our tax tool compares corporate tax, VAT, employer social contributions and the statutory minimum wage across all 11 markets, and estimates the personal income tax an employee pays at a given salary. For a full payroll budget, including work permits and benefits, we prepare a market-specific estimate.
Do you provide statutory audits?
We prepare audit-ready accounts and coordinate statutory audits with licensed auditors in each market, so the audit opinion comes from an independent licensed firm. Our accounting team also handles bookkeeping, tax filings and annual returns, so the audit runs on clean records.
Can you help with visas and work permits?
Yes. We help founders and staff choose the right visa or work pass, including Singapore's Employment Pass, Thailand's work permit, BOI visa and Long-Term Resident visa, and Vietnam's work permit, and we prepare the applications. Our visa guides link to each official portal. In other markets, such as Malaysia, Korea and Dubai, we coordinate investor and employment visas with our local teams.
